Charity Concerts for Create Boltones

St Michael's Brass Band has played several  Charity Concerts at Alkrington Community Centre with an audience of 100  people, including "Friends of the Band" plus support from St Michael's Church and from Alkrington Community Association.

Proceeds go towards "Create Boltones" a musical group of  young people in Bolton and surrounding areas who have never had the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument.  Create Boltones gives these young, enthusiastic players first class musical training and provides instruments for them to learn to play.

Photo: Pat Ridgway presented a cheque for £500 to Sue Anderson, one of our band members and, along with her daughter Lucy, is a member of Create Boltones music group.

Everyone enjoys the concerts, where we play a programme of marches, light classical and ballads with Malcolm Hill conducting.

Thank you to our guest players.
